What is the Trinity?

The Trinity is the one true God existing eternally as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully God, yet there is only one God. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father. This mystery is revealed in baptism and in the incarnation of Jesus.
