Is abortion a sin?

Scripture teaches that human life begins at conception, as God forms each person in the womb and knows them personally. The unborn are called “children” and are made in God’s image. Abortion ends an innocent human life, which is contrary to the command “You shall not murder.” However, God offers complete forgiveness and healing to those who repent.
