Overview
Ziph was a city located in the hill country of southern Judah, mentioned in connection with David's fugitive years. The region provided David shelter as he evaded King Saul's pursuit, and the town was later fortified under King Rehoboam's defensive strategy. Archaeological evidence suggests Ziph was an important settlement in Judah's southern territory.
