Overview
Taanach was a significant Canaanite city assigned to the tribe of Manasseh as part of their inheritance in the Promised Land. Located in the Valley of Jezreel, this city remained a point of contention, as the Canaanites were not fully driven out despite Israel's conquest. The city's strategic location made it militarily important throughout Israel's early history.
