The Shimronites were a clan descended from Shimron, one of the sons of Issachar, and are mentioned in the census records of Israel during the wilderness period.

Overview

The Shimronites were a tribal family within the tribe of Issachar, descended from Shimron son of Issachar. They appear in the second census of Israel taken in the plains of Moab, indicating their place among the twelve tribes as the nation prepared to enter the promised land.

Key Scriptures

"The sons of Issachar by their clans: of Tola, the clan of the Tolaites; of Pua, the clan of the Punites; of Jashub, the clan of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites" (Numbers 26:23-24, ESV).

"The sons of Issachar: Tola, Pua, Jashub, and Shimron" (1 Chronicles 7:1, ESV).

Application
