Overview
Philippi was a major city in Macedonia (northern Greece) where Paul first preached the gospel in Europe during his second missionary journey (Acts 16:12). The church at Philippi became known for its genuine faith, sacrificial giving, and deep partnership with Paul in advancing the gospel. Paul's letter to the Philippians reveals a congregation marked by joy, unity, and Christlike humility.
