Overview
Hasenuah (also spelled Hashnuah) was a prominent figure among the Jewish exiles who returned from Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem. He served as a leader and administrator during the post-exile restoration period, working alongside Nehemiah to reconstruct the city walls and reestablish the community's spiritual and civic life.

"Hashnuah, the son of Zobebai, was over against them" (Nehemiah 3:16, KJV).
