Meonenim (meaning "those who practice divination" or "soothsayers") appears in Scripture as a reference to a specific oak tree near Shechem where people sought guidance through divination and supernatural practices forbidden by God. This practice represented reliance on human wisdom and demonic deception rather than faith in the Lord's guidance.
