Overview
Lebanon held geographical and spiritual significance in biblical history. Its famous cedar forests provided materials for Solomon's temple and palace construction (1 Kings 7:2-5). The region also represented a boundary and testing ground for Israel's faith, as God allowed certain nations to remain in Canaan to teach Israel warfare and obedience (Judges 3:1-4).
