One of the three greatest of David's mighty men. 2 Sam 23:11, 2 Sam 23:33. One of David's mighties, 2 Sam 23:25; called also Shammoth the Harorite in 1 Chr 11:27, and Shamhuth the Izrahite in 1 Chr 27:8.
