FIRE'-PAN, one of the vessels of the temple-service. Ex 27:3; Ex 38:3; 2 Kgs 25:15; Jer 52:19. " Lev 10:1; Num 16:12; Num 16:6 ff. These utensils were probably shallow metal vessels which served either to catch the snuff of the lamps when they were trimmed or to burn small quantities of incense.
