Susi

Susi was one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to scout the land of Canaan, representing the tribe of Manasseh.

Overview

Susi appears in the biblical account of Israel's wilderness wanderings as one of the twelve men chosen by Moses to explore Canaan before the nation's entry into the promised land. He was selected to represent the tribe of Manasseh among the reconnaissance team sent by the Lord. Though little is recorded about Susi individually, he participated in this pivotal moment that would significantly impact Israel's faith and obedience.

Key Scriptures

"These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun Joshua. These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land: from the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi" (Numbers 13:16, ESV).

Application

Susi's participation reminds believers that everyone has a role in God's purposes, and our faithful obedience in even lesser-known tasks contributes to God's greater plan for His people.
