Overview
Suah appears in the genealogical listing of the tribe of Asher during the time of David's reign. He was descended from Asher through his son Zophah, representing one of the many family lines that made up the twelve tribes of Israel. The Asherite genealogies were carefully maintained to preserve tribal identity and inheritance rights.
