Shobi

Shobi was an Ammonite prince who demonstrated loyalty to King David during Absalom's rebellion by providing supplies and provisions to David's army.

Overview

Shobi son of Nahash, king of the Ammonites, showed remarkable devotion to King David during one of Israel's darkest hours. When David fled Jerusalem due to Absalom's rebellion, Shobi joined forces with other supporters to provide food, bedding, and supplies to sustain David's weary forces as they regrouped.

Key Scriptures

They also brought wheat and barley, flour and roasted grain, beans and lentils, honey and curds, sheep, and cheese of the herd, for David and his people to eat." (2 Samuel 17:27-29, NIV)

Application
