Sered

Sered was a son of Zebulun and founder of a tribal family in Israel. His descendants formed one of the clans that comprised the tribe of Zebulun.

Overview

Sered was one of the sons of Zebulun, the tenth son of Jacob and Leah. He is mentioned in the genealogical records of Israel as the founder of the Seredite clan. Though little is known about Sered personally, his name appears in the tribal genealogies that document the family structures of ancient Israel.

Application
