Sarid

Sarid was a border town in the territory of Zebulun during the division of the Promised Land among the twelve tribes of Israel.

Overview

Sarid served as a significant boundary marker for the tribe of Zebulun's territorial allotment in Canaan. Located in the northern region of Israel, it helped define the extent of Zebulun's inheritance during Joshua's distribution of the land to the twelve tribes.

Key Scriptures

"Their boundary included Sarid" (Joshua 19:10, ESV). "From Sarid the border went up westward...to Dabbesheth, and then to the brook that is east of Jokneam" (Joshua 19:12, ESV).

Application

Sarid reminds us that God gave specific, defined boundaries to His people, demonstrating His precise sovereignty over the division of His promises and the importance of knowing our spiritual inheritance in Christ.
