Overview
Zemaraim was a city located within the tribal allotment of Benjamin in ancient Israel. It gained biblical significance as the site where King Abijah of Judah made a passionate address to his army, calling them to trust in the Lord and the Levitical priesthood before engaging in conflict with the northern kingdom of Israel under King Jeroboam I.
