Nehemiah

Nehemiah was a cupbearer to the Persian king who led the Jewish people in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. His leadership demonstrates the power of prayer, courage, and godly determination in accomplishing God's purposes.

Overview

Nehemiah served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes of Persia before being called to lead the reconstruction of Jerusalem's walls. Though separated from his people, he maintained a heart for God's covenant community and answered the call to rebuild what had been destroyed. His account reveals how God works through faithful individuals to restore His people and accomplish His purposes.
