Hood

The Hood Return refers to Jesus Christ's promised return to earth, when He will come again in power and glory to judge all people and establish His eternal kingdom. This central Christian hope affirms Christ's bodily resurrection and future redemptive plan.

Overview

Jesus explicitly promised His disciples that He would return to complete God's redemptive work. This return is physical, visible, and will occur at a time known only to the Father. All believers await this blessed hope as the culmination of human history and God's plan of salvation.

Key Scriptures

"Jesus said to them, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am'" (John 14:3, NIV).

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first" (1 Thessalonians 4:16, NIV).

"By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain" (1 Corinthians 15:2, NIV).

Application

Live in anticipation of Christ's return by growing in faith, obeying Scripture, and sharing the Gospel with urgency.
