The plagues of Egypt, particularly the hail plague, demonstrate God's sovereign power over creation and His judgment against those who reject His commands. This account illustrates both God's patience and His ultimate justice.

Overview

The seventh plague of Egypt involved a devastating hailstorm that destroyed crops and vegetation throughout the land. God's judgment through natural forces showed His complete dominion over creation and served as a warning to Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery.

Key Scriptures

"Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man and beast and every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.'" (Exodus 9:22, ESV)

"So Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt." (Exodus 9:23, ESV)

"The hail struck down every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field." (Exodus 9:25, ESV)

Application
