Overview
The biblical account of hemorrhage appears primarily in the Gospel of Mark, where a woman endured a twelve-year bleeding condition that left her physically weak and ceremonially unclean. Despite seeking help from many physicians and spending all her resources, her condition worsened until she encountered Jesus Christ, who healed her completely through her faith.
Key Scriptures
"And a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years" (Mark 5:25, ESV). "And had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse" (Mark 5:26, ESV). "She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, 'If I touch even his garments, I will be made well'" (Mark 5:27-28, ESV). "And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction" (Mark 5:29, ESV).
Application
When facing persistent physical struggles, we can approach Jesus with faith, knowing He alone has the power to heal and restore what human remedies cannot.
