Overview
Hegai served as the keeper of the women in the Persian royal court during the reign of King Ahasuerus. When Esther was taken into the palace, Hegai showed her unusual kindness and favor, providing her with the best cosmetic treatments and a choice location in the harem. His support was instrumental in Esther's preparation and selection as queen, positioning her to save the Jewish people from destruction.
