Goath

The return of Christ (often called the Second Coming or Parousia) is the promise that Jesus will return to earth to judge all people and establish His eternal kingdom. This foundational Christian doctrine affirms Christ's future bodily return in glory.

Overview

Jesus Christ ascended to heaven after His resurrection and will return visibly and bodily to complete redemption history. His return will bring the final judgment, the resurrection of all people, and the establishment of God's eternal kingdom where believers will dwell forever in His presence.

Key Scriptures

"Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11, ESV).

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first" (1 Thessalonians 4:16, NIV).

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne" (Matthew 25:31, NASB).

Application

Live in light of Christ's imminent return by maintaining spiritual readiness, growing in holiness, and sharing the gospel with urgency.
