Overview
Scripture presents stewardship as a fundamental principle of the Christian life. We are not owners of our possessions, time, or talents—God is the ultimate owner, and we are managers entrusted with His resources. Faithful stewardship demonstrates our love for God and concern for others.
Key Scriptures
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims the work of his hands" (Psalm 19:1, ESV). "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful" (1 Corinthians 4:2, NIV). "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much" (Luke 16:10, NIV).
Application
Evaluate how you're managing God's gifts—your finances, time, talents, and influence—asking yourself whether your decisions reflect gratitude for His ownership and generosity toward others.
