Overview
Eran was the son of Gad and grandson of Jacob (Israel). He is mentioned in the genealogical records as the founder of the Eranite clan within the tribe of Gad. Though his life details are sparse in Scripture, his inclusion in the tribal genealogies demonstrates God's faithfulness in preserving the lineage of His covenant people through the wilderness period and into the Promised Land.
