Who Was Dishan?
Dishan appears in the genealogical records of Genesis as one of the sons of Seir the Horite, making him a leader among the original inhabitants of the mountainous region known as Seir, located in what is now modern-day Edom. In Genesis 36:21, Moses records Dishan among the chiefs of the Horites, a people whose presence predated the arrival of Esau's descendants.
