Overview
Uz appears in Scripture as a geographical region or descendant of Shem through Aram. The land of Uz is most famously known as the home of Job, the righteous man who suffered greatly yet maintained his faith in God. Though its exact location remains debated by scholars, Uz was likely situated in the Arabian Peninsula or near Edom.
