Overview
Sacar was one of the sons of Obed-edom, a faithful Levite who served as a gatekeeper in the house of the Lord during the time of King David. The family of Obed-edom was notably blessed by God and appointed to important roles in maintaining the tabernacle. Sacar's inclusion in the genealogical records demonstrates the importance of priestly and Levitical service in Israel's worship.
