Overview

Mamre was an important spiritual landmark in Abraham's journey, located near Hebron in Canaan. At this place, Abraham built an altar to the Lord and experienced several divine encounters, including the visit of three men (angels) who announced that Sarah would bear a son. Mamre symbolizes a place of faith, hospitality, and God's faithfulness to His covenant promises.
