Overview
Ezekiel prophesied that Gog, a leader from the land of Magog, would lead a massive coalition against Israel in the latter days. This invasion will be supernaturally defeated by God, demonstrating His sovereignty and faithfulness to His covenant people.
Key Scriptures
"The word of the LORD came to me: 'Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him'" (Ezekiel 38:1-2, ESV).
"I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you" (Ezekiel 39:3-4, NIV).
"And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: 'The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob'" (Romans 11:26, NIV).
Application
Understanding Magog's future invasion encourages believers to trust God's protection over Israel and to remain watchful for signs of Christ's return.
