Overview
Kedesh was one of six cities of refuge appointed by God in Israel, located in the territory of Naphtali in Galilee. These cities provided asylum for those who committed unintentional manslaughter, protecting them from the kinsman-redeemer's vengeance until a fair trial could be held. The city represented God's balanced justice—protecting the innocent while maintaining accountability.
