Overview
Jaazer (also spelled Jazer) was a city in the region of Gilead, east of the Jordan River, designated as a Levitical city for the descendants of Merari. The city is mentioned in connection with the distribution of tribal territories and grazing lands for the Levites who served in Israel's worship.
