Luke 2:36-37 tells us she was "a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher" who "was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four." After decades of faithful service, Anna's presence at precisely the right moment was no coincidence but God's perfect arrangement.
