Zebah

Zebah was a Midianite king defeated by Gideon during Israel's judges period, representing God's deliverance of His people from oppression.

Overview

Zebah was a king of Midian who led a military campaign against Israel during the time of the judges. He and his co-ruler Zalmunna were defeated by Gideon and the Israelite army in a divinely orchestrated victory that demonstrated God's power to save His people from their enemies.

Key Scriptures

"Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna" (Psalm 83:11, ESV).

"And Gideon said, 'Therefore, when the Lord has given Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers'" (Judges 8:7, NASB).

Application

Zebah's defeat reminds believers that God remains faithful to protect His people and accomplish His purposes, even through unexpected means and unlikely leaders like Gideon.
