Teman

Teman was a grandson of Esau and chief of an Edomite clan, representing one of the tribal divisions of Edom in the Old Testament.

Overview

Teman was the son of Eliphaz, Esau's firstborn, making him a grandson of Esau and part of the Edomite lineage. He became a chief or leader among the Edomite clans and is mentioned as a significant figure in Edom's tribal structure. The region of Teman later became associated with Edom and was known for its wisdom traditions.
