Overview
Tekoa was a city located in the hill country of Judah, situated between Bethlehem and the Dead Sea. The town is mentioned in genealogical records as part of the inheritance of Judah's tribe. Tekoa later became known as the birthplace of the prophet Amos, who ministered during the reign of Jeroboam II of Israel.
