Overview
While sunstroke is not extensively discussed in Scripture, the Bible recognizes the physical dangers of extreme heat exposure. Ancient peoples understood the serious consequences of prolonged sun exposure, and biblical accounts reflect practical awareness of this threat to human health and survival.

"And it came to pass at noon, that Elisha said, 'Oh, that you were my brother, that you nursed at my mother's breast! When I found you in the field, I would have killed you. But now he said to his servant, 'Please bring him some food and water.' So a young man ran ahead of him and said, 'Behold, the boy is alive!'
