Overview
Sharezer was the son of Sennacherib, king of Assyria, who rebelled against his father and participated in his assassination. After Sennacherib's defeat at Jerusalem and his return to Nineveh, his own sons conspired against him, resulting in his violent death. This outcome demonstrated God's sovereignty in judging those who oppose His people and blaspheme His name.
