Seorim

Seorim was one of the twenty-four divisions of priests established by David for service in the temple. He represented the tenth course of priests who took turns serving in God's house.

Overview

Seorim was a priest appointed by King David to lead the tenth division of the priestly order. David organized the sons of Aaron into twenty-four courses that would serve in rotation at the tabernacle and later the temple, ensuring continuous priestly ministry before God.

Key Scriptures

"The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah, the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Seorim" (1 Chronicles 24:8, ESV).

"And David with the commanders of the army also set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals" (1 Chronicles 25:1, ESV).

Application

The careful organization of priestly duties reminds us that God values order and faithful service in His kingdom, encouraging believers today to fulfill their spiritual responsibilities with dedication and consistency.
