Overview
Pethahiah appears twice in Scripture as a faithful servant in Israel's leadership. First, he is listed among the Levitical priests assigned to temple service during King David's reign. Later, he served as an important official during the post-exilic period under Nehemiah's leadership, functioning as an intermediary between the Jewish people and the Persian king's court.
