Overview
Nehemiah served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes of Persia before being called to lead the reconstruction of Jerusalem's walls. Though separated from his people, he maintained a heart for God's covenant community and answered the call to rebuild what had been destroyed. His account reveals how God works through faithful individuals to restore His people and accomplish His purposes.
