Overview
Naarath was a small settlement in the land of Canaan assigned to the tribe of Ephraim during Joshua's distribution of the promised land. The town marked part of Ephraim's eastern boundary and is mentioned only once in Scripture as a geographical reference point. Its exact location has been identified by scholars as being in the Jordan Valley region east of Jericho.
