Misheal

Misheal was a town in the territory of Asher, allocated to the Levites during Israel's conquest of Canaan.

Overview

Misheal was a Levitical city located within the tribal territory of Asher in northern Canaan. As a city of refuge and Levitical settlement, it served an important administrative and spiritual function in ancient Israel, providing housing for the priests and Levites who served the Lord and the people.

Key Scriptures

"From the tribe of Asher: Mishal with its pasturelands, Abdon with its pasturelands" (Joshua 21:30, ESV).

"The boundary of the Asherites included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph, Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal" (Joshua 19:26, ESV).

Application

Remember that God's provision for the Levites demonstrates His care for those dedicated to His service, reminding us to honor and support those who minister His Word today.
