Overview
The Mehunim were descendants of the Nethinim, a group of non-Israelite workers dedicated to temple service. They returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity and participated in the restoration of worship at the rebuilt temple. Their inclusion in the genealogical records demonstrates God's provision of workers for His house even among foreign servants.
