Maadai

Maadai was one of the sons of Japheth listed in the Table of Nations, representing a people group in the ancient world whose descendants populated regions beyond the Fertile Crescent.

Overview

Maadai appears in the genealogical records of Genesis as a son of Japheth, Noah's son. He represents one of the ancestral lines through which the post-flood world was populated. While little is known about Maadai specifically, his inclusion in Scripture establishes God's providence over all nations and peoples throughout history.

Key Scriptures

"The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras" (Genesis 10:2, ESV).

"These are the sons of Japheth in their lands, each with his own language, by their families, in their nations" (Genesis 10:5, ESV).

Application

Remember that God's sovereignty extends over all peoples and nations throughout history, reminding us that His redemptive plan encompasses the entire world.
