Overview
The lampstand (menorah) was a central piece of tabernacle furniture, constructed from pure gold and positioned in the Holy Place. God gave detailed instructions for its design, including a central shaft with six branches, decorative elements, and seven lamps that burned continuously. This fixture represented God's eternal presence illuminating the darkness and guiding His people.

"You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its shaft, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it" (Exodus 25:31, ESV).
"And you shall set up the lampstand outside the veil in the tent of meeting, opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle; and you shall put oil in it to make the lamps burn regularly" (Exodus 25:37, ESV).
Application
Just as the lampstand provided light in the tabernacle, believers are called to let Christ's light shine through them in a darkened world (Matthew 5:14-16).
