"Lama sabachthani" are Aramaic words meaning "Why have you forsaken me?" uttered by Jesus during His crucifixion. This cry reflects the intense spiritual agony of the Son experiencing separation from the Father's presence as He bore the weight of humanity's sin and God's judgment against it.
