Overview
The term "kine" refers to cattle or cows in biblical language. In Genesis 41, Pharaoh experiences two significant dreams involving kine that reveal God's plan for Egypt. The first dream shows seven well-favored kine eaten by seven ill-favored kine, and the second portrays seven good ears of grain consumed by seven thin ears. These dreams are interpreted by Joseph as prophecy of seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine.
