Overview
Joppa (modern-day Jaffa) was a significant coastal city in Israel where two important events occurred in the apostolic era. Peter raised Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead, demonstrating Christ's power through the apostles. More significantly, while staying in Joppa, Peter received a vision that challenged Jewish dietary laws and signaled God's acceptance of Gentiles into the church.
