Overview
After being preserved in the great fish, Jonah rose from the depths as a living sign of God's mercy and resurrection power. He finally obeyed God's call to preach repentance to Nineveh, and the entire city—from the greatest to the least—repented in sackcloth and ashes, turning from their evil ways.
